Cities and culture
Cultural potential
From the Harz Mountains to the heath and the North Sea, there are unique cities in Lower Saxony to discover that could not be more different. From small, idyllic half-timbered towns and maritime port cities to large cities with a lively urban history between the historic and the modern or lively student towns, Niedersachsen has a lot to offer.
The state of Niedersaschen also has an impressive art and culture scene. Internationally renowned rock and pop festivals such as the Hurricane Festival and events such as the Niedersächsische Musiktage are among them, as are renowned museums such as the Kunsthalle in Emden, science centres such as the phaeno in Wolfsburg, the "Autostadt", castles, parks and gardens such as the Bückeburg or Herrenhausen and the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Goslar. The Fagus-Werk, designed by the Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius, is one of the most important architectural highlights of the present.
Our aim is to develop this cultural tourism potential even better for tourists and to develop it further together with you through new networks of offers and product combinations.
